About Me
My Experience
I have spent more than two decades working in Estate Agency in the UK and currently serve as the Managing Director of iad UK, the British division of the European estate agency group iad. The network now includes more than 20,000 consultants operating across eight countries, and my focus is on building a strong, supportive platform for self-employed agents across the UK.
My career in Estate Agency began in 2001, where I developed my early experience within the corporate sector. I worked with William H Brown Estate Agents, part of the Connells Group, gaining valuable experience in a flagship branch environment where I built strong foundations in valuation, negotiation and business growth.
In 2004, driven by a desire to build something more entrepreneurial, I co-founded David Lee Estate Agents. The aim was to create a modern independent agency that embraced strong branding, innovative marketing and a high level of customer service. Over the years the business established a strong reputation within its local markets and became a respected independent agency.
Today my role leading iad UK allows me to focus on what I believe is the future of Estate Agency in this country. The self-employed model gives experienced agents the freedom to run their own businesses, deliver outstanding service to their clients and significantly increase their earning potential while building long-term business value.
Throughout my career I have been passionate about helping estate agents take greater control of their careers and embrace a more entrepreneurial approach to the industry.
My Skillset
I have always believed that growth in Estate Agency, and in business generally, comes from a commitment to continuous learning. I make a conscious effort to keep developing both personally and professionally, whether that is through studying industry trends, learning from other business leaders, or refining the systems and strategies we use within the businesses I lead. That mindset has helped me stay adaptable in a fast-changing industry and ensures that the people around me benefit from the latest ideas and best practices.
Leadership has also been a central part of my career. Over the years I have had the opportunity to build and lead high-performing teams, starting with my time at David Lee Estate Agents and now through my role leading iad UK. I believe strong leadership is about setting clear expectations, providing the right support, and creating an environment where people feel confident to grow their own businesses and reach their potential.
My role today is focused on helping estate agents succeed. That means providing the guidance, systems and encouragement that allow individuals to perform at their best, while also building a culture where collaboration, learning and shared success are part of everyday life.
For me, the goal has always been simple, continue improving, support the people around me, and help build businesses that stand the test of time.
My Goals
My ambition has always been to help build an Estate Agency business that is fit for the modern age, one that embraces innovation, technology and a more entrepreneurial approach to the profession.
Today, as Managing Director of iad UK, my focus is on creating an environment where great estate agents can truly thrive. I strongly believe that when experienced professionals are given the right support, the right systems and the freedom to run their own businesses, they can deliver exceptional service to their clients while also building meaningful financial success for themselves and their families.
A key part of this vision is helping agents move beyond the traditional employed model and towards genuine business ownership. Through the iad platform, agents have the opportunity to earn a significantly higher share of the fees they generate, build teams, and create a business asset that has real long-term value.
Technology also plays an important role in the future of Estate Agency. I am committed to ensuring that the agents within our network have access to modern tools, marketing platforms and operational support that allow them to operate efficiently and professionally in an increasingly digital world.
Ultimately, my goal is to contribute to a shift within the UK estate agency industry, helping talented agents build stronger, more sustainable businesses while delivering a better experience for their clients. I believe the future of Estate Agency belongs to professionals who combine expertise, independence and innovation, and I am proud to be part of that movement.
